Three Peaks Challenge

FOfounder Forces Online Blog

On Wednesday 7th July, myself and some of my colleagues from work will be undertaking the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

The Yorkshire Three Peak route is 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. The challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent (694m / 2277ft), Whernside (736m / 2415ft) and Ingleborough (723m / 2372ft), and should be completed in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Having recently begun to volunteer with the Forces Online welfare team, I decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to raise some much needed funds for the charity so they can continue with the great work they do to support serving and veteran military staff and their families.

Thank you for the box of merchandise that arrived the other day. I will make sure that the website is on show throughout the walk. Even if the rain is absolutely chucking it down (in true Yorkshire style!) the hat will still be visible from under my hood! You can donate from the link below. There is also a section to add gift aid.
